Adolescent Brain Science Webinar Series: The Science of Contribution

As a follow-up to our adolescent-friendly Philadelphia programming in fall 2024, Spring Point Partners launched a new webinar series to dive deeper into the science of adolescence.

Each webinar will focus on a developmental area and explore how it shows up or should be implemented in practice and policy, and we kicked it off with a fascinating and timely topic:

The Science of Contribution

Learn more about the Science of Adolescence via Our Young People linktree.

For this webinar, we welcomed Dr. Andrew Fuligni, a nationally recognized expert on adolescent development who is the Co-Executive Director of the UCLA Center for the Developing Adolescent and a professor of Psychology and Psychiatry at UCLA.

During the webinar, Dr. Fuligni explains UCLA’s STEPS for Youth, a resource library helping to bring developmental science into policy and program design with insights from the science of adolescent development.

One of the resources includes a STEPS Check-in, a tool to help policymakers and youth-serving organizations review their understanding of the core developmental needs of adolescents, update their knowledge with new insights from ongoing research, and consider ideas for applying further research-based approaches within policy and practice settings.

Stay tuned as we schedule deep dives into other areas of adolescent development
