How Long is Long Enough? Task Force on Long Sentences Final Report

In its final report, the Council on Criminal Justice Task Force on Long Sentences presents 14 recommendations to enhance judicial discretion in sentencing, promote individual and system accountability, reduce racial and ethnic disparities, better serve victims of crime, and increase public safety.

The Task Force was led by SPP Learner in Residence John Maki. John is also a fellow for NYU’s Marron Institute, working to improve outcomes for people impacted by violent crime.
