Shared Learnings
| December 20, 2022
Thanks to all the partners who honored us your time, presence, and partnership throughout our 2022 Learning Series! Our aspirations for our sessions and events were to celebrate you, create spaces for candid, human-centered learning, and deepen connections across our partner network. Whether we talked about leading in a time of crisis, governance, leadership transitions, the founder experience, or the importance of building an inclusive culture in animal welfare, we hope you found meaningful content and strong relationships through these sessions. We will continue to finetune our work and our offerings in the new year.
As we look back on 2022, we remember that one year ago we launched our Learners in Residence program, which connects thought leaders shifting narrative in social justice with an expanded braintrust community and relevant supports. Our third cohort of Learners convened in Philadelphia this November, where they broke bread with Chef artist-activist and social entrepreneur Kurt Evans and spoke candidly with Dr. Marc Lamont Hill of Uncle Bobbie’s Coffee and Books. Their discussions reflected our larger partner network’s relentless focus on the people, communities, causes, animals, issues, and systems you are each impacting daily.
As we heard from Nikole Hannah-Jones in our December Fireside Reflection Chat, there is a lot of work to be done. While it can be overwhelming, we can each do our part. As we close out the year, we are deeply grateful to be in partnership with organizations and people who are committed to doing such impactful work with human-centricity and a commitment to learn. We look forward to the new year and to staying the course!
Cheers to learning from and with you in 2023.
