ABOUT US

Founded in Philadelphia, Spring Point Partners, LLC (Spring Point) is a social impact organization that invests in transformational leaders, networks, and solutions that power community change and advance justice.

We do this by seeking out and supporting community leaders who have the vision to see what’s possible and the drive to make that real; connecting the experience of partners with comprehensive and flexible supports for shared learning and impact; and investing in innovative ideas and adaptive solutions that can spark and scale change for all.

Whether we’re partnering on youth development, equity in learning, animal welfare, economic justice, or investing in new business models that close opportunity gaps and boost social and economic mobility, we center equity and justice in all we do — supporting individuals and ideas that can have a catalytic impact in their communities and on our society.

Together, let’s change the way social impact is achieved.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

The Investment Associate supports Spring Point Partners’ impact and mission-aligned investment portfolios, with a particular emphasis on community wealth building and ownership investing within the team’s Economic Justice strategy. This is a hands-on, growth-oriented role designed for an analytically curious professional who is eager to deepen their experience in impact investing while contributing to meaningful financial and social outcomes.

Working closely with the investment team and reporting to the Director of Investments, the Investment Associate helps evaluate opportunities, monitor investments, manage data, and support investment execution. The role offers significant exposure to impact investment strategy, portfolio management, and cross-team collaboration in a values-driven environment.

This is a full-time benefits-eligible role with a hybrid schedule of three days a week at the Philadelphia office (located in University City), and two days virtual, with occasional schedule adjustments for after-hours events.

In this role you will:

  • Support investment analysis and portfolio monitoring, including dashboards, reporting, forecasts, and trend analysis.
  • Assist with investment memos, presentations, and internal decision-making materials.
  • Contribute to due diligence and research on prospective investments, including sector research, benchmarking, and basic financial modeling.
  • Help track and manage the investment pipeline and maintain accurate data across portfolio and CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across investments, data, and learning to support impact measurement and reporting.
  • Participate in team meetings, learning sessions, and partner convenings, helping translate insights into action.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes, documentation, and collaboration.

This role is well-suited for someone who:

  • Brings 2+ years’ professional experience in investment management, consulting, financial analysis, or impact investing (foundational knowledge is key).
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and data management skills, with a functional understanding of financial statements and portfolio analysis.
  • Is proficient in Excel, with the ability to build models and prepare clear summaries and visuals.
  • Values continuous learning and is eager to grow into increasing responsibility.
  • Is motivated by mission-driven work and interested in how capital can support equity and community wealth building.
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment where curiosity and adaptability are prioritized.
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field is essential; a master’s degree (MBA/MPA) is preferred but not required.
